System Administration of SVMi Voice Mail

SVMi's Administration MB is "0000"
Press VMADM button on your telephone (or "VMMSG" btn * #0000
Press pass code 0000
Press 1 for system prompts - 
1001 for day message
1002 for night message
1003 for Holiday message 
1004 for Bad Weather prompt
Press 2 for subscriber administration
Press 3 for scheduling of greetings - 
Press 1 for day message
Press 2 for night message
Press 3 for holiday message
Press 4 for bad weather prompt
Press 0 for automatic scheduling


 

To access any Mailbox other than your own 
(Including "Group" or Admin Mailbox)

Press "VMMSG"  button
Press * # and the mailbox number you need
Enter pass code 0000
Follow the prompts (same as the personal mailboxes...5 for the long greeting and #2 to record only the name)
 

In the main/master day and night greetings:

  • When a customer presses 8 it sends them to mailbox 400...this is where you record the "general mailbox"

  • When a customer presses 9 it sends them to mailbox 411...this is where you record the "listed directory"

  • When a customer presses 0 it sends them to the operator group and if no one answers, it is sent back to the main greetings which are recorded in the administrator mailbox number 0000.

General Mailbox Script for SVMi (Example)

This is usually in mailbox 400, customers get here when they press eight in the main greetings.

This is usually in mailbox 411, customers get here when they press nine in the main greetings.
When you hear the extension of the person you are trying to reach, you may enter it at any time.

Instructions to change the Date & Time on DCS Systems

While on-hook at a display phone (meaning the handset is in the cradle):
press TRSF
dial 200
enter access code of 1234
press 1 to enable TRSF again

Now we can go in and change the time/date
press theTRSF button
dial 505
The screen will show old date on top and the cursor will be in position for you to enter the new information on the bottom...like this

 

OLD :   1  1  0  2 7  0  3  : 1  1  0   8
NEW : W M M D D Y Y : H H M M

W (day of the week) 0 is for Sunday, 1 for Monday, 2 for Tuesday and so on
MM (month) 01 for January, 02 for February and so on
DD (day of the month) Enter the date in range from 01-31
YY (year) Enter the last two digits of the year
HH (hours) Enter the hours using military time - a range of 00-24
MM (minutes) Enter a number in the range of 00-59

(After you have entered the correct time/date, this info will move up to the top row and it will be ready to have you enter it again if you have entered it incorrectly.)

After you have entered the information to your satisfaction, press, TRSF  to exit.

Now you are finished. The time/date will change on all phones and be changed in the SVMi and Cadence voice mail systems.

 

Instructions to change the Date & Time for Cadence Voicemail

The Cadence voicemail SVM:4 and SVMi-8 automatically will change the time after you have changed on the phone system.
